Drayton Valley AB, March 15, 2019: Intricate just opened its doors in Drayton Valley with our new office located at 6426 50 Ave. We invited our clients down to an open house and sponsored a Pizza party fundraiser for the Army Cadet Corp of Evansburg, led by our very own Integrated Maintenance Field Lead and Commanding officer Todd Fidelak, where all contributions went towards sending the local 3070 Evansburg Army Cadet to France in September of 2019 for a once-in-a-lifetime educational trip tothe beaches of Normandy to participate in the commemoration of the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.
During the event, we encouraged our attendees to eat their hearts out on as many slices of free pizza as they could, for Intricate would be donating $5 for every sliced consumed. We had paintball games, door prizes, live radio from 92.9 Big West Country on location and the cadets ran a bottle drive. Our Intricate team ran meter proving demonstrations on site and it was the biggest pizza party in town on Friday!
Prior to the event, the cadets raised $17,000 of the $50,000 goal through other fundraising endeavors, one being through their gofundme page at https://www.gofundme.com/vsw44r-trip-to-france.
After the entire event was over, the cadets raised $3355. There were 28 pizzas consumed. Total of 336 pieces eaten. Ten pies donated by local Boston Pizza on 50 St and the rest paid by Intricate. The remainder of donations were raised through the silent auction, in which many local businesses contributed to; such as Pembina River Tubing, Wabamun Pizza, Cross Fit Drayton Valley, Entwistle Rodeo, Woodlands Lumber Entwistle , Body Image Evansburg, Yellowhead MLA, Jensens’s diesel Performance
